Brisbane 2032 venues you can visit right now
You don't have to wait until 2032. A handful of the Games venues are already running events, and you can get in now.
Most of the 2032 venue plan is upgrades, not new builds. GIICA, the state body delivering the venues, lists 17 new and upgraded venues, and 10 of those are upgrades to places that already exist. So the velodrome, the tennis centre and a couple of stadiums are open today. Catch an event now and you'll know the place before the crowds and the prices arrive.

The short version
- Anna Meares Velodrome, the Queensland Tennis Centre and Sunshine Coast Stadium are all in GIICA's 2032 venue list and host events now.
- Suncorp Stadium is widely reported as a 2032 football and rugby sevens venue, but that isn't in the official venue plan yet.
- Every sport-to-venue match is "proposed" until Brisbane 2032 confirms the sports programme in 2026.
Which 2032 venues can you visit now?
The ones being upgraded rather than built. Anna Meares Velodrome at Chandler, the Queensland Tennis Centre at Tennyson and Sunshine Coast Stadium at Kawana all host events today and sit on GIICA's list of 2032 venues. The new Victoria Park stadium and National Aquatic Centre don't exist yet.
What's on at Anna Meares Velodrome?
Local, club, national and international racing, GIICA says. It's a 250m timber track built for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, seating up to 3,500 for events. It's proposed for track and Para cycling in 2032, and the state plan says it's booked for the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 2030. Owner: Stadiums Queensland.
Can you go to the Queensland Tennis Centre?
Yes. Pat Rafter Arena seats 5,500 and hosts the Brisbane International every year. GIICA has it earmarked for Olympic tennis and Paralympic wheelchair tennis, with a new 3,000-seat show court and up to 12 more match courts coming. If you want a feel for the 2032 tennis, go in January.
What about outside Brisbane?
Sunshine Coast Stadium at Kawana already runs national-level football, rugby league and rugby union games. It's proposed for Olympic football preliminaries, and it's growing from about 1,000 permanent seats to around 10,000, with up to 20,000 at Games time.
Is Suncorp Stadium a 2032 venue?
Probably, but it's not official yet. Industry reports have football and rugby sevens pencilled in for the 52,500-seat stadium at Milton. It isn't in GIICA's venue list, and the state's delivery plan doesn't assign it a sport. Treat it as likely, not locked.
